How to use wiki tags and tree view in Backlog

Tags are a way to categorize wiki pages and can be used to search your project wiki. Tree view allows you to nest or branch wiki pages.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to:

  • Use wiki tags
  • Use tree view

Use wiki tags

  • To add a new tag, place the tags in brackets before the page name (e.g., [tag1][tag2] Page name).
  • To use existing tags, select the tags at the top of the page when creating or editing a wiki.

All tags are shown in the sidebar on the right side of the wiki. Select any tag to see its related pages. The homepage of a wiki can’t be tagged.

Use tree view

Tree view must be enabled in the project settings.

To branch a page, enter “/” between the page names when creating or editing a wiki (e.g., Example page/Page1/Page2). Branched pages can be hidden or shown using the arrows in the “Page lists” sidebar.
