How to update and edit issues in Backlog

Once an issue is added, you can update, edit, or delete it.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to:

Update an issue

Select details can be updated using an issue’s comment section. Select the comment box to expand the section where you can update the status, assignee, start/due dates, milestone, resolution, and estimate/actual hours (available if enabled in project settings).



All update details, including who made the changes and when, are reflected in an issue’s comment section. Select the “Contents of changes” link to review the updates.

Edit an issue

Members without restrictions can edit issues. To edit an issue:

  • Go to the issue details page.
  • Select the “Edit” button at the top right.
  • Make any edits.
  • Select “Save.”

Delete an issue

Admins and project admins can delete issues. To delete an issue:

  • Go to the issue details page.
  • Select the “...” icon at the top right.
  • Select “Delete.”
