Invite users to your organization

The administrator can invite new users to the organization via an email invitation or a shareable link. Member roles can only invite new users when they have the inviting privileges. 

Types of Invitations

Invite members via email

To invite an individual or small group of new members to your organization:

  1. Click on your organization icon in the global navigation.
  2. Select Organization Settings.
  3. Click on the Members tab.
  4. Click on the By email link.
  5. Enter the email addresses you would like to send the invitation and press Enter key.
  6. Enter any teams the invitee will join.
  7. Select which role you would like the invitee to have.
  8. Click on the Invite button to send the invitation(s). The invitee(s) must accept your invitation to join the organization.

An email will be sent to the Admin role and the inviter when a member accepts the invitation and joins the organization, declines participation, or the invitation expires.

Invite members via a CSV

To perform bulk invitations:

  1. Click on your organization icon in the global navigation.
  2. Select Organization Settings.
  3. Click on the Members tab.
  4. Click on the Invite Members by Email button.
  5. Select the Upload CSV icon beside the email address input field
  6. Bulk members invite dialogue will prompt. Simply follow the steps provided and re-upload the edited CSV template. 
  7. When CSV has been re-uploaded, a dialogue will prompt to let you review each invitee details.
  8. Once you have done reviewing, select the Invite button and an invitation email will be sent out to all invitees. 

Useful tip!

 Tip: If there is any error detected for invitees, an error message will state the reasons.

Invite members via a link

When you create an invitation link, others can join your organization with just a URL. Be sure to use a secure method of communication, so unwanted third parties do not gain access to the invitation by mistake.

To create an invitation link:

  1. Click on your organization icon in the global navigation.
  2. Select Organization Settings.
  3. Click on the MEMBERS tab.
  4. Click on the With a link link.
  5. Enter any teams the invitee will join.
  6. Select which role you would like the invitee to have.
  7. Click the Create Link button.
  8. Share your link using whatever secure communication method you'd like.

Useful tip!

You can further specify “1 day”, “1 week” or “1 month (30 days)” expiry duration for the invitation link in the Option link. The link will become invalid after the set duration.  By default, the invitation link will be set as “Never Expired”. 

Manage the invitation

If an invitation has been sent out and is still pending, you can track and manage the invitation on the Pending page. To do so:

  1. Click on your organization icon in the global navigation.
  2. Select Organization Settings.
  3. Click on the Members tab.
  4. Click on View drop-down and select Pending invites by email/by link

If the member has not received the invitation email or the invitation is expired, you can click on “Cancel” and resend the invitation again or re-invite the user via a link.

Useful tip!

When the invitation is expired, a notification email will be sent out to all members with the invitation privileges.

Grant user for additional privileges

Administrators can grant administrator or member roles for additional privileges such as the authority to invite new users or become Plan Admin to manage the subscription and billing. To do so:

  1. Click on your organization icon in the global navigation.
  2. Select Organization Settings.
  3. Click on the Members tab.
  4. Add a check on the member you would like to give them for additional privileges.
  5. Click the Select Role dropdown and add a check next to Can invite members or/and Set as Plan Admin.
  6. Click Apply to save changes.

Do you know?

Only administrators or members with the Plan Admin privileges can grant the “Set as a Plan Admin” privilege to other users.
