Backlog offers four cloud-based plans: Free, Starter, Standard, and Premium. All are hosted on our servers and come with different benefits.

- Signing up for a trial or Free plan

Signing up for a trial or Free plan
To try Backlog for free, sign up for a 30-day trial or our Free plan by going to the Backlog pricing page and selecting your plan.
Trials are available for our Starter, Standard, and Premium plans and can’t be switched to a Free plan during or after your trial. You also can’t switch to another plan during the 30-day trial, so be sure to compare plans first.
Our Free plan is always free and can be used until you decide to cancel your plan. A Free plan can’t be switched to a trial, and a paid plan can’t be downgraded to a Free plan.
Upgrading to a paid plan
You can upgrade to a paid plan during or after your trial or at any point of your Free plan. To upgrade:
- Select the “Upgrade plan” button in the global navigation, or go to the “Billing” tab in your organization settings.
- Select “Change plan” next to the plan you want to upgrade.
- Enter your payment details.
Managing your plan
To view and manage your plan:
- Select your organization icon in the global navigation.
- Select “Organization settings.”
- Select the “Billing” tab at the top.
