Backlog 101: Enterprise plans

Backlog Enterprise, hosted on your private server, offers you full control over your data, users, security settings, updates, and permissions.

In this overview, we’ll go over:

  • Signing up for a free trial
  • Upgrading to a paid plan
  • Managing your plan

Signing up for a free trial

To try Backlog Enterprise free for 30 days:

  • Go to the homepage and scroll to the bottom.
  • Select the number of users and then “Download trial.”
  • Register your organization details.
  • You’ll be redirected to the Enterprise account page.
  • Select “Download software,” or review the “Install guide” in the “Document links” section first.

Upgrading to a paid plan 

You can upgrade to a paid Enterprise plan during or after your free trial. To upgrade:

  • Select the “Upgrade plan” button in the global navigation.
  • You’ll be redirected to select your plan.
  • Enter your payment details. 

When you upgrade to a paid plan, you’ll be issued a new license key to access Backlog when your free trial ends. If you paid by credit card, you can download your new key on the account page as soon as the payment is submitted. If you paid by bank transfer (Japan users only), we’ll email you once payment is received, and your key will be available to download on your account page.

Managing your plan 

To view and manage your plan:

  • Select your organization icon in the global navigation.
  • Select “Organization settings.”
  • Select the “Billing” tab at the top.
