Is my data private?

We don’t share your data with anyone, and access to it is limited to you and those who you’ve given access to your work. We periodically back up your data to prevent loss, and data is deleted immediately upon user request. Data is encrypted by SSL, which helps to prevent data loss, editing, and spoofing. We retain access logs for a period of time but don’t release this information to the public.

How do you back up data?

To recover data in the event of a server failure, we do a full database backup daily. We retain 14 backups at a time, and these backups are replicated to another data center. This data is stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) storage.

What happens if there’s a server outage?

We monitor server reports 24/7 and are notified of any abnormalities so we can attend to them as soon as they’re detected. Our operations allow for a rapid restoration in the event of a data center failure.

How do you notify users about issues?

Our Nulab status page is updated automatically every minute, and we post updates on X

What systems and equipment do you use?

  • Our servers are firewalled and located in a data center with 24/7 security.
  • Our OS has Linux installed.
  • We disable unnecessary services that are programmed to start by default.
  • We publish the minimum number of ports.
  • We update our server software to protect users from security threats and have a reliable security system if these updates can’t be done automatically.
