"Related Issues" connect different issues together. You can see and check them on the issue page. This feature is available on paid plans.
What you can do with “Related Issues”
“Related Issues” are useful in these cases:
- Creating a new issue in another project based on a request.
- Linking an old issue as a reference.
- Connecting issues without worrying about parent-child hierarchy.

When you type an issue key in a comment and post it, it automatically becomes a “Related Issue”.

Difference between "Related Issues" and "parent and child issues"
Parent and child issues are useful when:
- Assigning issues with the same goal to many people (for example: monthly reports).
- Breaking down one big issue into smaller tasks.
“Related Issues” do not have a hierarchy. You can connect any issues freely. They are helpful when you want to link issues, but the order of work is not decided yet. You can organize them later.
How to add a “Related Issue”
Here are the steps to add a “Related Issue”:
- Click the three dots icon at the top right of the issue page.
- Click "Add related issue".
- Type the issue key in the dialog and select the issue you want to link.

“Related Issues” are linked both ways
When you add a “Related Issue” to Issue A, the link is automatically added to Issue B as well.
- Example: If you add HELP-23 as a related issue in TASK-117, TASK-117 will also be added as a “Related Issue” in HELP-23.
Important notes when adding Related Issues
- You can add up to 50 “Related Issues” for one issue.
- “Related Issues”are not included in keyword search results.
