Impact of migration
While you can still view your wiki, it becomes read-only after migration, and you won’t be able to:
- Add, edit, or duplicate the wiki
- Attach files to the wiki
- Add links to shared files in the wiki
How to migrate your wiki
To migrate a project’s wiki to documents:
- Go to the project wiki page.
- Select “Migrate your wiki” towards the top right of the page.
3. Review the info in the dialog. Note: Once you select “Start migration,” the wiki becomes read-only and can no longer be updated.
4. Select “Start migration.”
Post-migration steps
Once your wiki is migrated, the pages will appear in the project documents under “Migrated from wiki” in the documents list. Use drag-and-drop to reorganize the wiki pages as needed.
You can also update your project settings so “Wiki” no longer appears in the side menu, and the wiki URL will automatically redirect users to the migrated document. To disable the wiki:
- Go to Project settings > General.
- Uncheck “Enable wiki.”
- Select “Save.”
Migration exceptions
Migrations can’t be done if:
- If you select a project that already has a Wiki migrated using the Backlog migration tool as the destination and do not exclude the Wiki, the migration cannot be performed.
- You’re migrating from another tool such as Jira or Redmine and choose a project with an existing migrated wiki as the destination.
API impact
