How to add images, GIFs, and icons in Cacoo

Enhance your diagrams with images, GIFS, and icons.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to:

  • Add images, GIFs, and icons
  • Crop images
  • Change an icon’s color

Add images, GIFS, and icons

To add images, GIFs, and icons to your diagram:

  • Select the “Media” icon in the tool menu.

  • Select the images, GIFs, or icons tab.

  • Search using the text field at the top.
  • Click on the image, GIF, or icon to add it to your diagram.

Good to know

AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and other application icons are found in the tool menu via Shapes > More shapes.

 

Crop images

To crop an image:

  • Select the image.
  • Select the crop icon from the editor menu.
  • Crop the image using the lines that appear around the edges.
  • Click anywhere in the diagram to apply the crop.

Good to know

Cropped GIFs become static images.

Change an icon’s color

Icons can be outlined, filled (solid color), or two tone (darker outline, lighter fill). 

To change an icon’s color, select it and then select “Fill” from the editor menu. Regardless of the icon style (outlined, filled, or two tone), only one color is applied.
